Media Write provides on-site audio consultation services.  Read on to learn about our Pro Audio training classes.  Get the knowledge you need !

What do we do?

Acoustic room analysis:  If your room doesn't sound the way you think it should.  We'll come to your location, set up microphones and dial in your EQ with our signal analyzers (and our ears).  We'll use a pink noise generator to test the response of your room.  Any natural acoustical problems will be fixed by readjusting your EQ to compensate for them.  You won't believe the difference !!  Your music will sound full and rich again like it sounded when they mixed it in the studio.  Don't be fooled though.  Not all problems can be fixed with just EQ.  Some problems require acoustical treatment of the room.  We can guide you there too.

Solve feedback problems:  Ever hear that annoying ringing when you turn your microphones up too loud?  Media Write can solve this problem for you.  We can train your sound techs in the process too.  Setting up your monitor EQ is a very delicate and frequency specific task.  Every room is acoustically different.  There are no rules that apply to every room.  Media Write has solved even the most menacing feedback problems for lots of businesses:  Nightclubs, Churches, Reception and Union halls, and even outdoor live locations.  Don't let feedback ruin your sound one more time!  Call us.  We'll fix it.

Brian hard at work behind the Midas XL4 console at a Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert.  Brian has worked with Hootie & The Blowfish, Queensrÿche, Joe Satriani, The Gin Blossoms, The Wallflowers, Big Bad VooDoo Daddy, Collective Soul, John Waite, Loverboy, Skid Row, Joe Bonamassa, Johnny Highland, Afroman, Too $hort, Duke Tomato, and more...

Help with product selection:  Don't know what you need, but know you need something?  We know what products are out there, and we know how to solve your problems on your budget.  We don't sell sound equipment so you don't have to worry about a salesperson trying to sell you more gear than you need.

We'll come in, look at what you have, determine what's working and what (if anything) is broken.  Then we'll ask you what you want to accomplish.  We'll analyze your system and figure out how much of your existing equipment can be used, and what you're probably going to have to buy.  Then we can even help you install it if you like.  If not, we can put together a professional CAD drawing so you'll have easy to understand instructions on how to install it yourself.

Installations:  If you decide that you want us to help you with the install, we're there for you.  We can put it in right.  A great installation often goes unnoticed because the system is transparent.  People don't notice the system, they just enjoy great sound and lighting.

Sound and Lighting:  Our sound and light techs are among the best in the business.  We've developed light shows and sound systems for touring national acts, political conventions, large scale music venues, and lots of nightclubs.  We understand how to use and install everything from the simplest pinspots and speakers to the largest, most complicated Intelligent lighting fixtures and audio consoles !

When it comes to lighting, we can help you pick the fixtures you need.  Do you need to be able to follow a performer or speaker around the room with a spotlight by simply moving a mouse or trackball ?  We can make it happen.

Do you have a mobile audio rig that needs to remember the EQ settings for each different place you play.  We can make it happen !!

Call Media Write.  We can show you things you may not have even known existed.  No, it doesn't have to be expensive.  Call us.

No system too small:  We can help you, on-site, with anything from hooking up a home stereo to helping you design a custom stage for a tour.

Training:  We actually started the first Pro Audio training class in Indianapolis.  Media Write partnered with the Mars Music Learning Center in Indy to bring you a four-week audio training course.  The cost for this course was a mere $100.00 per person.  Unfortunately, Mars Music has gone out of business due to rapid expansion, and this course is now available through Media Write.  Contact us for pricing and course availability.

Training is ongoing.  We tailor the classes to what you want to learn, and encourage students to attend each other's shows to help or observe.  Going to the show and getting behind the board is the best classroom around.

In just a few classes, we'll take you from not knowing much of anything about audio, to being able to operate a 40-channel, 8-buss, professional mixing console like the one shown here.  By the time you complete the course, you'll be running a fully operational stage with a house mix, four separate stage monitor mixes, two effects sends, and a stereo in-ear monitor mix.  If you already have some experience, great!  You'll have a head start.

Our engineers will teach you how to ring out your monitors and stop feedback problems before they ever start!  You'll have a firm foundation of the physics of sound waves (no it's not hard).

You'll know how to recognize all of the standard connectors and cables that are used in the industry.  You'll know the difference between mic, line, and speaker level, and how to interface them together (no it really, really isn't hard).

Just call Media Write to reserve your seat in the next class: 317-414-3535

There are two classes available:  One for live sound with bands, and one specifically designed for running sound in Praise and Worship Services.  Tell us you heard about it here !!
