Media Write will bring our mobile 192KHz digital multi-track system to your show.  Here's how it works.  We show up to your gig and we'll be running sound for the night.  Not only will we mix your front of house during the show, we'll also be recording pristine digital audio tracks.  Spend your first set getting revved up and getting the crowd going.  Tell them they're going to be on your album and to make lots of noise.  They love that.  We'll be optimizing your sound for recording.  During the set break we'll check things out, make any necessary adjustments, and prep for the real thing.  We recommend that you record your second set.  The crowd will still be there and everybody's excited.  We'll take your tracks back to our studio facility and spend lots of time sweetening things up and adding effects if desired for the final mix. 

Media Write provides unlimited 192KHz digital audio tracks in our facility in Indianapolis and 16 tracks during live multi-tracking.  You can even do overdubs and clean up mistakes after the performance, in our studio!  Clients enjoy professional production in a relaxed environment.  Our studio features a pristine signal path, a huge array of available special effects and digital non-linear editing facilities.

We can mix drum tracks live with reverb down to two stereo channels, or record each drum separately for processing later during mixdown.  Everything else goes direct to tape individually.  We provide truly professional audio quality and expertise in a smaller format.  The Media Write production studio is designed for small to medium projects that don't require huge spaces.  There are several high end studios that provide large format facilities with up to 48 or more simultaneous recorded tracks.  We believe that most of these studios are doing a great job.  However most projects don't require this type of facility to achieve the same end result.

Digital as well as Analog

We have professional analog processing in addition to our digital equipment.  Media Write has the capability of patching analog outboard processors into the digital domain.  We can record everything in our digital studio and then take an individual track or the entire mix through an analog tube stage to warm it up.  Most digital studios don't have that capability - Yet another advantage to working with Media Write.

 

Multiple monitor mixes

Media Write can create mixes for several performers during tracking.  No longer do you have to suffer what the drummer wants to hear because the studio doesn't have enough mixes.

 

Processing power

Here at Media Write we have 4-band fully parametric EQ on every single track, even during tracking.  We also have compression and gating, chorus, flange, and delay processors on every single track if required.  We use serious gear from Lexicon, Aphex, Klark Teknik, Presonus, and many more.

Time Travel

We traveled back in time^* to record this brass band live at their first show.  It was at the Wakeland Baptist Church in Eastern Virginia, 1930.  The recording came out great, but unfortunately no one had CD players to listen to it.

 * Time travel is not a technology currently available from Media Write Group.  However we do plan to add the service as soon as it becomes financially viable.  Keep checking back with us on that.  We've never actually been to Wakeland, Virginia but we hear it's nice.
